I know, long time no post. Just thought I'd share some photos of a few friends having good times on the Muskegon, from this fall. While some days were more productive from a fishing standpoint than others, they were all eventful and fun. With the low water and warmer than average weather, the salmon run was lengthy and drawn out. All in all still a good run, just no real peak. The steelhead run has seemed to follow the same course. Overall fishing has been adequate, sometimes outstanding-but sometimes a definite work for what you get. The recent bump in the water levels has improved the fishing, and weather pemitting the winter steelhead fishing has been and should continue to be good. Water temps are still around 40 degrees keeping the fish fiesty. Most of our fish from this week jumped like October steelhead rather than the typically more subdued winter variety.
Thanks to all of you who fished with us for another outstanding season. I feel truly blessed to have so many guests that I consider friends, and look forward to seeing many of you again in the coming year!
There are plenty of steelhead in the river system, winter fishing should be good when mother nature allows. Consider taking advantage of our winter 1/2 day special: 2 anglers for 4 1/2-5 hrs for $225. It's a great opportunity to get outdoors during the warmest part of the day during the holidays.
See you on the water,
Nathan
